Rossiter 14 Owners:

"I just wanted to let you know how pleased we are with the Rossiter 14. It is a solid, seaworthy boat. The other day we went for a visit with friends on Georgian Bay. Before the end of the day the wind had wiped up to 25knots gusting to 30 and the steep 3ft waves were breaking across the crest. The return route to our cottage was across a lee shore strewn with rocky shoals. I was a bit reluctant to risk it in a new boat, but knowing the boat's reputation, the four of us in full rain gear and life jackets set out. I have to tell you that the Rossiter performed exceptionally well. It was a bit wet from spray, but the boat was stable and responsive at all angles to the waves. I bought the boat because I thought it would be safe for our teenage girls to drive in the unpredictable Georgian Bay weather. Now I know I was right."

"We are so thrilled with our Rossiter 14. Originally purchased to be a little runabout, the 14 has become our go to boat in all situations. It reliably gets our family of 5 to and from our island spring, summer and fall while providing hours of tubing and water-skiing fun. The design of the hull makes for an incredibly smooth ride in even the roughest waters. The only downside is that everyone wants to drive “mom’s boat”.

“We have been out and about and we love our new Rossiter 14 . We get so many compliments on it. Love to watch the expressions when other boats pass…”

THE IDEAL 14-FOOT DEEP-V OUTBOARD POWER BOAT

The ideal 14-foot Deep-V Outboard. This is a craft with all the tradition and innovation of Rossiter Boats – coupled with exceptional fuel efficiency, ride and performance that are second to none! It’s just 14 feet from stem to stern, but performs as if it was far, far bigger, having many features you would expect on much larger boats. The Rossiter 14 was designed to thrive in big water, with exceptional stability and safety, as well as a remarkably smooth, dry ride even when the whitecaps rule. Unlike other boats of similar size, the Rossiter 14 is rated by the Coast Guard for five adults and 50 horses (we recommend 40hp) – so if you want to get up on plane with the whole family on board, or pull a young water skier or two kids in a tube, you’ve found the perfect boat to do it.

Our Rossiter 14 also does very well with a 2 Stroke 25 hp if you are looking for a smaller engine. Since building the first Rossiter 14 for a Great Lakes customer some 12 years ago, I would have to say that the feedback remains consistent today with customers and marine operators alike saying that, “the Rossiter 14 is, without a doubt, the softest, driest riding outboard in its class.”

With respect to construction of a Rossiter power boat, our hull design is unique to Rossiter with a focus on big-water performance, efficiency and ride, not to mention our commitment to quality fit and finish. Our boats have hand laid, solid hulls with a molded, foam-filled stringer grid, and the use of structural closed-cell foam cores used where needed to provide the necessary panel stiffness in our liners, decks and transoms. They also have a vinyl ester barrier coat to reduce the chance of osmotic blistering and print-through occurring. And, in fact, the only wood in our boats is the teak accents you see in the interior cockpit area. You should also know that our liners are bonded to the stringer grid, topsides and transom, independent of the deck assembly which is bolted to the sheer using machine screws every 6″ though a 1/4″ high density epoxy board which runs the length of the sheer. This method provides you with a very solid feel to the boat, thus enhancing the ride delivered by our hull shape and many years of enjoyment.

“Yesterday was a great test of the Rossiter 14, and she passed with flying colors! It was a classic summer day on the lake with a strong 10-15mph breeze all day coming up the lake. The little boat handled it all perfectly: going into the waves, running abeam and running with the waves. These were conditions that our previous boat would have left our backs sore and teeth cracked from the pounding. Instead we just had grins from ear to ear … Lots of “I love your boat, what kind of boat is that?”
Bruce & Jane, Concord, MA

“I cannot believe that almost all the summer has passed by without my writing to you. We love “Blue Moose” and it really does all I hoped for. In the end we did put a 40hp motor on our Rossiter 14 which has been good. Most importantly, the boat is wonderful and you have a real supporter of your work her in West Falmouth”
Chuck, Falmouth, MA
